What material are the crates?
The crates are a tough polypropylene they are strong and robust.The best way of transporting goods safely & securely.

Are the crates waterproof?
The crates are not waterproof but we would class them as weatherproof. The lidded crates offer the best protection as they will provide cover from the rain.

Can I stack the crates?
Yes you can, all crates nest inside each other when empty and stack on top of each other when full, ensuring they take up the minimum amount of floor space

Can I make the crates secure?
Yes, security ties are available from Cratemate. The ties fasten to each end of the lidded crates. These ties will ensure your goods are not tampered with while they are in transit or being stored.

Sizes and shapes, what crates do you have?
We have a few different sizes of crate available, take a look on our products page. Industry standard lidded crates, open crates, one metre crates and IT crates, you should find a crate for every task!

What else do you do?
To make things a little smoother we can supply dollies, sack trucks, rubber topped skates, bubble wrap, security ties and coloured labels. Take a look at our products page or give or telephone 029 206 54 206.

Do you provide a removal service?
We can provide a crate moving service but we don't move furniture etc.

Are your crates recyclable?
All crates at Cratemate are 100% recyclable

Can the general public rent crates from you?
Yes, we supply both commercial and domestic.

Can I purchase crates from you?
From time to time we sell ex-rental crates, contact us for details.

What quantity of crates do I have to order?
There is no minimum crate order, you can have as few as you like.

When ordering crates how much notice will you need to deliver?
Providing we get your order before 4.30pm we can deliver your crates the very next day (excluding Saturdays, Sundays & holidays). Same day deliveries (when available) will incur an additional charge on top of the normal delivery charge.

Can I order crates from the Cratemate website?
Yes, just a few simple steps and you’re done!

What time of day do you delivery/collect crates?
Our deliveries are normally made in the morning and collections in the afternoon. Timed deliveries/collections are sometimes available if needed (charges apply).

Can I keep the crates for longer?
You can extend your crate hire period as long as we get 24hrs notice.

Do you deliver to all parts of the UK?
Yes we do!

Will Cratemate let me know of any crates not returned?
Yes, Cratemate will send email confirmation of any outstanding crates.

If I keep some of the crates for longer what will happen?
Cratemate will charge at the agreed crate rental rate for each crate not returned until they are returned.

Will I be able to alter my order once I have booked?
Yes, as long as it is before the delivery date and within our office hours.

Is 'same day' crate delivery available?
When possible, we do provide 'same day' delivery. 'Same day' delivery will incur and additional charge.

Can I have my crates delivered at a specific time?
Timed deliveries / collections can be made (when available) but will occur an extra charge. Please contact us for details.
Billing

Do you supply VAT invoices for crate rental?
Yes we do!

Are all Cratemate charges subject to VAT?
Yes, all Cratemate crate rental and products are subject to the standard rate of VAT.

Will I receive an invoice?
Cratemate provide a 30 day credit agreement for all our customers, you will be invoiced at the end of the month for activity on your account in that month. You can pay by cheque, BACS or credit / debit card.

I’ve lost a crate, what do I do?
Please let us know if you have mislaid a crate, we do charge for missing crates but the sooner you let us know the sooner we can stop the rental charges.

If I pay by card will my details be secure?
Yes, all payments taken by debit/credit card are safe and secure. Cratemate does not store any card details given, we take security very seriously, Cratemate is PCI compliant.
